The next Santa Fe Springs Protection Forum will be on Thursday 10/22 (See agenda here). We will meet at the High Springs New Century Woman’s Club at 40 NW 1st Ave, High Springs, FL from 9:00 – 12:00. The focus of the meeting will be on septic systems, with Elke Ursin from the FL Department of Health and Roxanne Groover with the Florida Onsite Wastewater Association as speakers.

Following a long lunch break, join us at Poe Springs from 2:00 -4:00 for a field trip with Pete Butt and Tom Morris from Karst Environmental Services. If interested, meet at the Lodge at Poe Springs at 2:00 prepared to walk in the woods for a couple hours (pants, bug spray, close toed shoes, water, etc.). We will see some of the karst features that Pete shared images of during the July meeting! The field trip is part of a springs tag grant administered through the Wildlife Foundation of Florida.
