Dr. Robert Knight will be speaking at 12:30 pm, so be sure to come out! Below is information about the event from the Silver Springs State Park website.
Take advantage of the changing weather and enjoy a weekend at Silver Springs State Park's Real Florida Fall Festival.
Try a tasty snack or eat a full meal at the local food truck rally, sample local wines from Island Grove Wine Company, hear live music from local bands, see professional chalk artists, have your photo taken with Smokey Bear (Saturday only), speak with writers, photographers, and artists about their work, and of course take a glass-bottom boat ride. Special guests include the talented photographer and musician Mark Emery on Saturday, and local photographer and activist Cynthia Wilson-Graham on Sunday, co-author of Remembering Paradise Park (2015). All this plus much more at the Real Florida Fall Festival.
On Saturday, come early for the 2nd annual Critter Trail 5k, a fundraiser for the Friends of Silver Springs Citizens Support Organization.
On Sunday, make a difference in the life of a shelter dog. In cooperation with Marion County Animal Services, every month Silver Springs hosts the 4th Sunday pack walk. Take a dog for some exercise and fresh air. Adoptions available but not required.
Enter the park through the main entrance located at 5656 East Silver Springs Boulevard (State Road 40).
