The 2016 Springs Summit will bring together scientists, academics, advocates, reporters, policy makers, and other citizens to discuss the status of springs health and steps needed for meaningful springs restoration and long-term protection. The knowledge gained will be used to create a Springs Restoration Action Plan for Florida.

The Florida Springs Council, in cooperation with the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida, the Florida Springs Institute, Save the Manatee Club, Sea to Shore Alliance, and Normandeau Associates, Inc. are hosting this 3-day Springs Summit.

The desired outcome for the 2016 Springs Summit is a highly informed group of participants who can work together to recognize the threats to Florida’s springs and follow through on implementing meaningful springs restoration and protection actions. The Action Plan will consolidate key points and next steps to support implementation and will be made available to Springs Summit attendees following this important event.
