It’s important to have time to relax and enjoy the springs while we’re learning about them, right? Optional activities include camping, spring side yoga classes, SUP yoga classes, free concert, Ichetucknee River paddling trip, various springs field trips, tubing on the Santa Fe River, beginners freedive training workshops, and plenty of time to unwind on your own and/or let loose with friends – and it’s all included. Ginnie Springs park admission and all meals are included too!
The educational portion of this event will cover basic environmental science topics related to Florida’s water resources, such as hydrogeology, springs ecology and biology; then educate you on the main environmental and human threats facing Florida’s waters. The Florida Springs Institute and their partnering organizations spend countless hours researching these resources and developing the most effective solutions for these issues. Beginning with basic environmental science and human impacts, our curriculum will shift towards how we address our current water crisis – giving you the tools and communication methods you need to change the future of Florida’s freshwater.
