This event is two parts education, two parts exploration, and four parts relaxation. Activities include spring side yoga classes, SUP yoga classes, paddling trips, tubing on the Rainbow River, beginners freedive training workshops, creative skill workshops, and plenty of time to relax on your own and/or let loose with friends. Park admission, camping spots, and meals are all included but participants have to bring their own camping and snorkeling gear.
Delving into the educational portion of GSAB, our first lessons will cover springs science topics such as hydrogeology, springs ecology, springs chemistry, and springs biology. Next we will move on to learn about water resource management, how springs are managed, why water management is important, and how we can manage water better in the future. Final lectures will go over how we can become advocates and save the future of Florida’s most precious natural resource!
