HOWARD T. ODUM FLORIDA SPRING INSTITUTE

SPRING and river RESTORATION

One of the goals of the Florida Springs Institute is to develop a quantitative and scientifically defensible baseline of ecological data that documents the existing environmental conditions and trends over time of springs and disseminate that information to the public and state leaders. Our organization has developed and released restoration action plans, executive summaries, as well as other reports and publications, that help provide current best available knowledge and information about the ecology and environmental condition of Florida’s springs and recommend management actions needed to reverse adverse changes occurring to these springs.
